The Evangelical Church

About ECSS
The Evangelical Church of South Sudan is a non-denominational, indigenous, evangelical church committed to the Protestant Reformation. For the last seven years of its existence, the ECSS has held the privileged position of being the established church in its area.
About WHOM and other ministries
The ECSS operates a mission agency called the Evangelical Mission for South Sudan (EMSS), Women group, Woman of Hope Mission (WHOM) as well as a school of missions called the Sudan Interdenominational School of Missions (SISOM). In addition, the ECSS participates in some social and educational services as a means of reaching out to those within their sphere of their established churches.
While our God has given the ECSS leadership an ability to see beyond skin color, language, nation, and cultural traditions, we also recognize that we cannot do the task alone. Therefore, we are very willing to partner with churches, church organizations, mission agencies, CBOs, FBOs, NGOs and even individuals of the same vision in order to make optimum use of our God’s kingdom resources. We value partnership. This is because our God has given His gifts to all of His people. We know full well that we do not have all of the gifts. As a result, we seek participation and support of all of those agencies, churches and individuals with a similar vision and similar calling to His work of reaching the unreached for Christ.
